Pharmacy, BNF, drug, pill and medicine guide all in your pocket. This pharmacy App is on offer for £2.99 for a limited period only. It is a pharmacy and medical app, perfect for pharmacy students, medical students, pharmacists, doctors, ACTs, dispensers, dentists and everyone working in the medical profession.

Use this app for counselling points, max strengths, brand and generic names, cautions, contra-indications, indications, side effects, drug action and doses.

This pharmacy app is an excellent learning aid, but also a useful app to help you find the name of a drug and its brand name quickly, using nicely illustrated flashcards. Over 500 of the most commonly prescribed drugs, clearly displayed alphabetically, for quick and easy access.

5 times quicker at finding information than the BNF

Each flashcard gives detailed information to help pharmacy and medical students, dispensers, ACTs, doctors and pharmacists, perform daily duties knowing they have essential information at their finger tips, should it it be needed.

* Counselling points and information to give to patients

* Drug name

* Brand name

* How each word is pronounced

* Indications ( uses )

* Cautions ( when you need to be careful )

* Contra-indications ( when not to take or use )

* Maximum doses where applicable

* Side-effects

* Pregnancy and breast feeding suitability

* Over 500 flashcards to help students, pharmacy staff and all medical
professionals learn the generic and brand name of each drug at their
own leisure

* Where available "drug action" also included.

Useful tips for using app:

1. To turn volume up or down, firstly open app. Click on one of the flashcards and then increase or decrease the volume using the volume controls.

2. To find a drug, scroll down to the letter it begins with. Click on the letter to list all the drugs beginning with that letter. Find the drug of your choice and click on it. The generic name of the drug will be shown at the top of the flashcard. Tap card ONCE, to flip it over and reveal the brand name. Tap back and forth on each card to listen to the pronunciation of each word.

3. To find max strengths, click on a drug and the max strength will be clearly displayed at the bottom of the flashcard. If there is no max strength written, then this has not been clearly identified in the BNF and you must find this drug in the BNF and determine a max strength for yourself.

4. To find indications, cautions, contra-indications, side effects, click on a flashcard and tap ONCE to flip over. The information of each drug will be found on the brand name side of the flashcard.

5. All information in this app was, to the best of my knowledge, correct at time of print. However, before any medication etc should be allowed to leave a pharmacy environment or any other medical facility and given to a patient, a final clinical check with an up to date BNF and qualified pharmacist, must be performed every time.
